今年,BDSC共有三支队伍参加了TOI可穿戴艺术比赛。TOI意为“艺术”,该赛事与世界知名的World of Wearable Art合作举办。比赛要求参赛者运用回收材料,发挥想象力制作服装,将创意化为现实。今年的主题包括Stories of the South Pacific(南太平洋的故事)、Red(红)、Depths and Heights(深与高)、Crafted Culture(工艺文化)以及Open(自由创作)。TOI鼓励同学们打破常规思维、团队协作,并以大胆而富有想象力的方式表达自己的创意。与往年不同的是,今年新增了作品筛选环节,竞争也因此更加激烈。全国共收到超过900份参赛作品,而BDSC有三支队伍从中脱颖而出,获选参加奥克兰(Auckland)的展演。同学们展现出令人惊叹的专注与技艺,将日常材料一点点打磨成艺术品。
6月11日星期四,我们的模特与设计师们来到Aotea Centre参加展演。看到我们的Showquest舞者与设计师们在台上展示自己的作品、讲述属于每件作品的独特故事,这一天令人格外难忘。在此衷心祝贺所有代表BDSC出场的模特与设计师们!

TOI Wearable Arts 2026
This year, three BDSC groups participated in the TOI wearable arts competition. TOI translates to art and is run in collaboration with the world-renowned World of Wearable Art. The competition is about making a garment from recycled resources using your imagination to bring ideas to life. This year the themes were Stories of the South Pacific, Red, Depths and Heights, Crafted Culture and Open. TOI inspired students to think outside the box, collaborate, and express their ideas in bold and imaginative ways. Unlike previous years a selection process was introduced making participation aggressive and competitive. TOI had over 900 submissions nationwide to their competition and three BDSC teams were selected for the Auckland show. Our students demonstrated incredible dedication and skills crafting everyday materials into a work of art.
On Thursday 11 June, our models and designers headed to Aotea Centre for the showcase. It was a memorable day seeing our Showquest dancers and designers getting to show off their work with each piece telling their own story. A big congratulations to all our models and designers for representing BDSC!
