5月16日（星期六），我们的乐队“Alouette”代表BDSC参加了一年一度的Smokefreerockquest Manukau分区赛，比赛在The Dorothy Winstone Centre举行。Smokefreerockquest是Aotearoa全国规模最大的青年原创音乐现场赛事。
乐队成员包括：Pepper Jukes（12B1，主唱）、San Choi（12B7，鼓手）、Hannah Goudie（12S16，合成器）、Coey Leung（12D3，小提琴）、Chloe Pan（11B7，吉他）、Emily Pan（12J5，键盘）以及Ryan Wang（11B7，贝斯）。
虽然乐队今年才刚刚组建，但我们花了大量时间反复排练、精心打磨编曲，而这些努力也没有白费。今年我们演绎的是主唱Pepper Jukes创作的原创曲目《Show Me》，评委们评价这首歌“融合了古典乐器编排、柔美的人声与摇滚元素”。虽然大家都紧张得不行，但站上舞台、面对全场观众演出的那份肾上腺素飙升的感觉，实在令人兴奋不已。这是一次前所未有的体验，我们也期待明年能再次登台！

Rockquest 2026
On Saturday 16 May, our band “Alouette” represented BDSC at the annual Smokefreerockquest Manukau Heats, held at The Dorothy Winstone Centre. Smokefreerockquest is the biggest live original music event for young musicians around Aotearoa.
The band consisted of:
Pepper Jukes 12B1 (vocal), San Choi 12B7 (drums), Hannah Goudie 12S16 (synth), Coey Leung 12D3 (violin), Chloe Pan 11B7 (guitar), Emily Pan 12J5 (keyboard), and Ryan Wang 11B7 (bass).
Although our band was recently formed this year, we dedicated many hours in rehearsal perfecting our arrangement, and it paid off. This year, we performed “Show Me”, an original song by our leader, Pepper Jukes , described by the judges as “a mixture of Classical instrumentation, soft vocal, and rock music.” Although we were all extremely nervous, the adrenaline rush of performing on stage to a large crowd felt ecstatic. The experience was unlike any other, and we hope to perform again next year!
