6月12日周五，Jazz Band、室内乐小组以及合唱团在Uxbridge Arts and Culture Centre举行的Fridays@Twelve音乐会上倾情演出。音乐会由室内乐三重奏“CCO”开场，为大家带来一首精彩的钢琴与两支小号三重奏。随后，由Hamish Arthur老师带领的Jazz Band演绎了三首气势恢宏的曲目，紧接着是三重奏组合“Triplet”和“Mung, Soy, & Red Bean”的精彩表演。压轴登场的是由Anthony Young老师指挥的合唱团，以三首动人歌曲为整场音乐会画下圆满句点。
Jazz Band演奏的《Bravito!》是一首律动感十足的拉丁美洲风格作品；《Creole Love Call》则是一首舒缓柔和的慢板曲目，展现了Jazz Band温柔细腻的一面；而压轴曲目《13 O'clock Jump》更是整场演出的高潮所在，观众们纷纷随着欢快的旋律摇摆起舞。萨克斯风与其余铜管乐器之间一唱一和的呼应尤为动听。每首曲目中都穿插了多段独奏，让同学们有机会展示他们为练习这些独奏部分所付出的额外努力与心血。
最后登场的合唱团同样表现出色。毛利情歌《Te Aroha》温暖动人，却又饱含深情厚意；在《Hallelujah》一曲中，全体成员的歌声交织融合，将歌词中的深刻意涵娓娓道来。整场音乐会的压轴曲目是Bruno Mars的《Talking to the Moon》，由Amber Zuo（10E2）和Jacob Wu（12D3）担纲两段独唱，用心诠释，为演出画上圆满句点。

Uxbridge Fridays@Twelve
On Friday 12 June, the Jazz Band, Chamber groups, and the Choir performed at the Fridays@Twelve concert in the Uxbridge Arts and Culture Centre. The concert opened with the chamber trio “CCO” performing a wonderful trio for piano, and two trumpets. The Jazz Band, led by Mr Hamish Arthur, performed three spectacular pieces before performances by the trios “Triplet” and “Mung, Soy, & Red Bean”. Last but not least, the Choir, led by Mr Anthony Young, sang three pieces to end the performance off with a bang.
The Jazz Band played Bravito!, a Latin-American piece with a nice groove; the “Creole Love Call” was a calm slow piece that showed how Jazz Bands can also be light and soft , and finally “13 O’clock Jump” was the highlight of the performance of the jazz band. The audience enjoyed and were swinging along with the music played. The call and response between the saxophones and rest of the horns were truly beautiful. There were multiple solos in each piece which gave students the opportunity to show off their extra work and effort they put into practicing these solos.
Finally, the choir sang beautifully. “Te Aroha”, a Māori love song, was warm but provided a strong embrace. In the piece “Hallelujah”, everyone’s voices combined and conveyed the thoughtful lyrics. The final piece of the entire performance was “Talking to the Moon” by Bruno Mars. There were two solos by Amber Zuo 10E2 and Jacob Wu 12D3 , who shared their incredible efforts to finish the performance.
