这场工作坊深入探讨内隐偏见背后的神经心理学原理，揭示隐性联想如何在不知不觉中影响职业教育中的专业判断与公平性。工作坊为从业者提供了一套实用的自我修正工具，确保与学生的互动始终基于专业初衷，而非无意识的习惯。
《运用ICARE模型开展职业对话》
该研究提出了“ICARE模型”（信息性、合作性、亲和力、responsive即时回应、活力）。研究就职业指导从业者如何运用该模型、确保提供公平且不带偏见的指导，提出了切实可行的建议。
Craig对国际职业发展领域的贡献远不止于他的研究成果。他同时还担任新西兰组委会联合主席，负责统筹推进IAEVG大会以及备受期待的国际职业发展与公共政策中心（ICCDPP）研讨会这两大盛事的筹备工作，两场活动均将于今年11月在Auckland举行。

ASHS Celebrates Craig Dyason’s International Recognition and Leadership
Albany Senior High School is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Craig Dyason. In a remarkable feat of professional excellence, Craig has had three separate research abstracts accepted for presentation at the prestigious International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG) Conference, taking place from 25–27 November 2026.
Hosted right here in Aotearoa New Zealand by the Career and Transition Education Association (CATE), this globally recognised conference attracted 251 submissions from 33 countries. Craig’s research was rigorously reviewed and selected by the IAEVG Scientific Committee - an international panel of leading academics, researchers, and practitioners - signalling a massive level of international credibility and respect within the global profession.
Craig will be presenting three distinct pieces of research at the conference:
Beyond the Academic Silo: Reimagining Vocational Pathways in the Secondary Curriculum
This explores how secondary schools can fully integrate Vocational Pathways into their curriculum rather than treating them as an "add-on". It draws on case studies to address systemic barriers to trades training, offering strategies for school culture shifts, NCEA reforms, and industry-school partnerships.
Implicit Bias
Defending against your subconscious: This workshop examines the neuropsychology of implicit bias and how hidden associations can subtly distort professional objectivity and equity in career education. It provides practitioners with a practical toolkit for self-correction to ensure student interactions are guided by professional intent rather than subconscious habit.
Using the ICARE Model for Career Conversations
This study introduces the "ICARE Model" (Informative, Co-operative, Approachable, Responsive, Energetic). It outlines practical recommendations for career practitioners to use this model to ensure equitable, value-free guidance.
Craig’s impact on the international career development landscape extends far beyond his research. He is also driving the execution of these major events as the co-chair of the New Zealand organising committee for both the IAEVG Conference and the highly anticipated International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy (ICCDPP) Symposium, both being held in Auckland in November this year.
Bringing three research presentations to the IAEVG stage while simultaneously co-chairing the organising committees for both the Conference and the ICCDPP Symposium is an extraordinary accomplishment. It highlights Craig’s dedication to advancing career development practices, his leadership within the community, and his commitment to shaping the future of guidance on a global scale.
